Adobe Lightroom Training

Many photo enthusiasts struggle learning the basic principles of Lightroom on their own. Our small-group 12-hour Zoom course is presented weekly in 1-1/2-hour blocks over 8 weeks. The pace gives students time to absorb and practice concepts and skills. The cost of the course is $199

Lightroom Course Content (Representative List - Not All Inclusive)

  • File Organization & Management

  • File Import & Export

  • Keywording & Metadata

  • Photo Sorting & Selection

  • Editing Panel Orientation

  • Best Practice Approaches to Photo Editing

  • General Editing Skills

  • Advanced Skills, including masking, color separation, cropping, spot removal, panorama merging, and more.

  • The course will not include how to make books or prepare files for printing.

Upcoming Course Dates, Times, & Cost

  • Begins April 12, 2026, and ends June 7, 2026 (No session on May 19, 2026).

  • All sessions will be conducted from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm PST.

  • Tuition: $199 (non-refundable after first class)

  • Course registration is limited to ten students.

  • Participants must have an Adobe Lightroom subscription and a computer connected to the internet.

Expectations

  • All levels of experience are welcome.

  • All skills and techniques will be demonstrated live.

  • Between-session practice exercises will be provided and encouraged.

  • Presentations, editing workflows, and other documents will be provided.

  • Participants may ask questions live or send questions between sessions.

Course Instructor

Steve J. Giardini is a creative photographer based in Bend, Oregon, USA. He is an artist, college educator, public speaker, workshop leader, coach, and mentor. Steve routinely teaches Adobe Lightroom concepts and skills.
